Hi, everyone, it’s that time of year again, excitement is building for our annual Mt Garnet Races and Rodeo Weekend. The Clubs are busy with preparations for their individual events.
The track is looking good, the barriers are set to go for two days of racing. The Turf Club has fenced their Stable precinct area and has added some new stables, in preparation for this year’s event.
The Rodeo committee has been busy preparing their grounds and they are looking great.
The TRC Event Management Plan is in place.
Ticket sales have exceeded expectations and all weekend passes have been sold. We have reached our capacity for camping within our grounds. Day passes are still available online, these do not include camping on the grounds. We would like to point out that there are scammers who are trying to sell tickets please be aware.
For those of you who were unable to attend, the workshop regarding submissions to the Land Management Plan was held at the Mt Garnet Town Hall on Saturday March 25th. A total of 16 submission were received, most were of a positive nature, with many expressing relief that this undertaking is nearing completion.
Thank you to our great team of volunteers who help throughout the the year, your help is much appreciated. We also wish to acknowledge the hard-working volunteers who have continued with the progression of several projects around the grounds, Michelle King (Gunther Civil), Tom Ian and Brian, Danny, Berto, John, Greg, Terry, Alan, Edgo’ Camp, Cap’s Camp, Horsienda Camp.
Should you wish to volunteer your time for gate duties or parking marshals over the Event weekend, please do not hesitate to contact us. A copy of the gate roster will be attached for you to choose a time frame that would suit you.
We wish the Turf and Rodeo Clubs a successful event for 2023.
Looking forward to catching up with old and new friends throughout the weekend.
