Hi Members and Camp Holders,
The reserve is looking great, the mowing crew from all clubs have had their work cut out for them as the massive amount of rain has yielded masses amounts of grass to be cut.
The working bee scheduled for the Australia Day weekend 26th, 27th and 28th January 2024 was interrupted by Cyclone Kirrily that was hanging around at that time. Thankfully it didn’t stop the crews of volunteers that were here from putting in a huge effort to complete several projects successfully. The BBQ in the Rodeo grounds at 5.30pm was welcomed by all, a cold drink, and a relaxing chat after the hard day’s work was most enjoyable.
The Trustees along with the Turf and Rodeo committees have been working closely together to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled, and the grounds will be in shipshape condition for the Annual Races and Rodeo Weekend.
The 2024 dates are Friday May 3rd, Saturday May 4th, and Sunday May 5th.
Auswaste services have again been engaged. Clubs have purchased coloured wheelie bins for positioning within their venues, and the Trustee bins will be positioned throughout the public camping grounds. Camp holders are encouraged to have their own household size wheelie bin for ease of collection. Containers for change will be happening again as well, great for the kids to collect some pocket money.
You will be informed when tickets for the weekend go on sale, they will be available online via Trybooking, you are encouraged to purchase early to avoid disappointment.
